Measure the usable space as a whole
Show existing racks, lights and the fully open door position during the assessment. Moving the motor sideways does not move the horizontal tracks out of the room. The useful question is whether the proposed layout provides the clearance your stored items and vehicle actually need.
Keep lifting-system changes explicit
If the door arrangement is unsuitable for the chosen wall-mount model, ask what changes would be necessary and whether they are worthwhile. Do not accept a motor-only price for a project that also requires substantial door work. Compare the complete alternative with retaining a suitable ceiling operator.
Coordinate alterations with the property rules
If the Miami Lakes project includes a new power point or other building alterations, check the applicable requirements through the Town’s Building resources. Keep that work distinct from accessory setup. Let any association or property manager know the actual proposed changes where approval is needed.
Your questions
Can I decide from the height of the ceiling alone?
No. The side room, lifting arrangement, obstacles and exact opener requirements also affect suitability.
Is a wall-mount model always the best answer for low headroom?
No. A low-headroom door system can have compatibility constraints. Review the complete system before choosing an operator.
