Compare the commands already attempted
Did the wall button behave differently from the remote or keypad? Note the lights, sounds and point where movement stopped. These observations help distinguish control and drive functions, but do not prove which part failed. Leave the housing and safety wiring intact.
Define any replacement package fully
If repair is no longer practical, identify the proposed operator, mounting equipment, controls and safety devices. Outlet or circuit work belongs in a separate electrical scope. Sweetwater's building resources provide the local starting point when the agreed project goes beyond equipment service; do not assume every added task is included in the motor price.
Your questions
Should I buy a circuit board that looks like the existing one?
No. Model, revision and compatibility need confirmation. Similar appearance does not identify the correct replacement or establish the cause of failure.
Will a new motor retain every existing remote and keypad?
Only supported controls can remain. Have compatibility and setup included in the replacement discussion before choosing equipment.
