El Portal publishes electronic and stated hard-copy submission options and warns against sending plans through an unsupported route. Confirm how the project information should be submitted and who is responsible. A copy of the estimate emailed informally is not the same as an accepted application.
Keep product changes visible
Name the dimensions, finish, glazing and performance documents in the final proposal. If a design choice changes, verify that the supporting information still matches the offered assembly. Wind pressure requirements relate to the actual building and opening, not just the municipality’s name.
Plan the transition to the new door
Discuss access while the old system is removed, disposal and any surrounding repairs needed first. If the existing opener stays, record how suitability will be assessed. Keep the final installed product information and owner instructions after handover.
