State the immediate access concern
Tell us whether the door is trapped closed, left open or stopped partway. Keep the travel area clear and do not force a vehicle beneath a partly raised door. If another entrance is available, use it rather than experimenting with a damaged assembly.
Ask what the repair restores
The recommendation should identify the failed component and any related damage. A returned roller or new remote is not a complete answer if the door continues to bind. Ask how the cause will be addressed and what operation checks follow the agreed work.
Revisit scope when the project grows
Virginia Gardens publishes its own replacement-door and building guidance. If inspection reveals that a full new door or surrounding work is required, confirm the Village’s current process for that larger scope. Keep the repair you first requested distinct from a subsequent installation proposal.
Your questions
Can a partly raised door be used if a car seems to fit?
Do not pass beneath or use an unstable or damaged door.
Does every stuck door need replacement?
No. The cause and condition determine whether a supported repair is appropriate.
